Show some love! It’s National Library Lover’s Month!
The month of love is officially upon us! Hearts are EVERY WHERE! We are so thankful to have such a wonderful community that supports us in our various efforts. Some people ask us “how can I show my love for the library?”
Good question!
Of course, we want you to continue using your library card, checking out materials, going to our events for all ages, and telling everyone about us. But the most meaningful thing anyone can ever do for us is help us help the community.
Right now, we have two drives going on- one for snack foods to stock our community pantries and one for hats, scarves, gloves, and warm items. All items collected are made available for the public to pick up as needed with no questions asked. It’s not our job to say you can or cannot have a hat. We just want you and your family to be warm!
For our community pantry, we ask for “snack foods” instead of beans or staple items because that is what our community is in need of most. We understand not everyone has access to kitchen appliances and need something to have in a more convenient manner. That is what we try to stock in our community pantry.
So, for National Library Lover’s Month, you can show some love by donating hats, scarves, gloves, and/or snack foods to our Community Pantry and Warm Wishes efforts. It would mean so much to us.
Oh, and also. You should know that we love you all no matter how you choose to show your library love! 🙂
