Kids are out of school right now and we want to help encourage at home learning during this time. Here are some free educational resources available online through the Saline County Library.
Overdrive and Libby (Best for: All Ages)
Find books and audiobooks for the whole family on Overdrive. You can read these books on your computer or download them onto a device. Overdrive has everything from picture books to cookbooks available online.
Brainfuse HelpNow and Brainfuse LearnNow (Best for: Grades 3 to Adult)
HelpNow provides live tutoring on a variety of subjects, offering a comprehensive suite of online academic services designed to support many learning needs and styles. ACT and SAT test prep materials available as well.
Mango Languages (Best for: All Ages)
Provides language learning experiences with step by step lesson plans for 71 different languages including Spanish, French, and Pirate.
Freegal (Best for: All Ages)
You can download or stream music from your phone, tablet or computer with Freegal. You can stream music 24 hours a day and download 3 songs a week!
Kanopy (Best for: All Ages)
Kanopy, allows you to stream movies. Kanopy Kids shows popular tv shows, videos, short films and even storytimes. Beginning March 16th, Kanopy Kids will have free unlimited access for 30 days to popular educational content such as Sesame Street, Arthur, and language learning series. Storytimes (Best for: Ages 0 to 8)
