Revenge for a friend
In the box, we found Reed Moore’s journal complete with entries about how he despised the professor and arborist Dewey smithers for bringing maple to the university when she didn’t belong. He also made several mentions of how it would be better if Dewey Smithers was not there. Last entry for the journal included “it’s time to take the top spot” and “down with Dewey” in bold red letters. Reed Moore believed he deserved to be top of his class but Dewey smithers left him unnoticed and only second best while his granddaughter (maple), currently ranked top of the class, won all the attention from professors, scientists, and potential employers. Reed Moore spent his days studying instead of partying while maple barely cracked a book. Reed Moore believed maple didn’t deserve to be top of the class and was only getting all the attention because of her beloved grandfather, Dewey smithers. He thought if Dewey Smithers was in the hospital and not at Devmont university then Reed Moore could show everyone who really deserved to be ranked number one. Library staff confirmed that Reed Moore was in a study room, but his booking ended 10 minutes prior to the time of the incident. In reed’s backpack, police found textbooks from Dewey Smithers class, full of notes as well as hateful phrases. They also found a pair of scissors with blood and blue thread matching the sweater Dewey Smithers was wearing at the crime.
