Library Prom is Coming Up!

When: Saturday May 11th

Time: 6:00 PM- 10:00 PM

Join us for the first ever Library Prom this May on Saturday the 11th! This event was started in conjunction with our Homeschool Hour program to provide the classic prom experience to our homeschooled patrons. All teens aged 13 to 18 are welcome at this event, even if you aren’t homeschooled! It’s going to be a wonderful, star-filled evening of dancing and celebrating being a teen.

Teens will be entertained by a DJ and enjoy dancing the night away. Librarians have been specially trained in all of the best group dances to make sure everyone can Cha Cha Slide and Macarena. We will have TWO great picture opportunities: a professional photo op and a fun photobooth with silly props! We have a photographer set up on the staircase to take a picture as you walk in; these can be emailed or texted to you, so you can print them as you like.

The community of Saline County has come together in amazing ways to make Library Prom a reality. We’ve had everything from dresses and suits to jewelry donated so that our teens can have the very best night.

Library Prom requires a contract. These can be picked up at either library branch and MUST be returned by May 3rd. Remember: this event is only eligible for teenagers ages 13 to 18. College students, parents and little siblings are not welcome at this event. Parents, don’t forget to arrive early to take pictures of your teens and their friends outside the building.
