In an effort to continue serving the community safely, the Saline County Library is now offering Curbside Click & Go for holds pick-up through the Mid-Ark Regional Library System app!

Curbside Click & Go is a safe and convenient way for a patron to pick up their holds. Instead of calling the library and waiting for items to be placed on the table, patrons can use the app to let staff know when they are on their way, along with an ETA, so that staff can have items waiting when patrons arrive.

To use Curbside Click & Go…

1. Patrons must have been notified that their item(s) is ready for pick up.
2. Go to the app and click the three lines in the top right corner or select “My Account,” then click “Holds.” If you have items that are ready for pick up, you will see a teal button that says “Curbside Click & Go,” which will bring up a screen with your items that are ready for pick up.
3. When you are ready to head to the library, click “I’m on my way.” From there, you can either enable GPS to use your location or choose an ETA that best describes how far away you are. If you get stuck in traffic, or have to make a stop somewhere, you can always cancel the ETA and choose another one.
4. When you arrive, click “I’m here!” You will then receive a message in the app telling you which bin your item(s) is in, along with any other pertinent information. Once you have collected your holds, click “Done—I have my holds,” and both screens will close out.

The Benton branch will have four bins in which to place holds while the Bryant branch will have two bins. Due to the expected influx of Curbside Click & Go requests, patrons are encouraged to check the name and last four digits of the library card number on the bag containing their item(s) to make sure they grab the correct items.

The Saline County Library joined the Mid-Ark Regional Library Consortium last year along with Cleveland County Library, Dallas County Library, Grant County Library, and Malvern-Hot Spring County Library. This consortium allows cardholders of all of the five participating libraries to use their cards at any of the five locations. The libraries also share their digital catalogs, which gives patrons access to tens of thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks.
