Homeschool Hour is BACK!
You heard it here, folks. Homeschool Hour will be resuming once again in full swing starting the first Wednesday of September and continuing through November. We have heard your requests and we are pleased to announce that we can host our typical Homeschool Hour in the building again!
Here’s a quick rundown of how Homeschool Hour will begin again in September 2022. We will have four age group divisions this fall:
- Ms. Wendy, the Youth Services Manager, will be working with preschool, ages 3-5
- Ms. Dana, the Children’s Programmer, will be working with lower elementary, ages 6-8
- Ms. Jordan, the Tween Librarian, will be working with students ages 9-12
- Ms. Cheyenne, our Teen Librarian, will be working with students ages 13-18
Every Wednesday we will gather in the Lower Commons area, the large open area at the base of the stairs, to separate the age groups into their respective sessions. We’ll begin our activities promptly at 10:30. Our theme for this year will be around the world!
We’ll be learning about all kinds of different countries from around the globe with an added bonus: Ms. Ashlyn, our talented Makerspace Coordinator, will be rotating each week between the elementary, tweens, and teens age sessions with a thematic music or art lesson!
Homeschool families will be getting the fun library social time you have surely missed along with some fun facts about whatever country is being covered that week. You can look forward to games, arts and crafts, STEAM activities, music, problem-solving, social-emotional learning opportunities, and all the other great things that come with homeschool hour.
