East End’s First Birthday!
š„³Our youngest branch, the East End Branch, was opened on April 1st last year, 2024. So this year, we’re celebrating!!! š„³
On April 1st, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, we’ll have crafts, activities, and treats at the East End Branch to celebrate one year of awesome library-ing!
So, some of our stats for the first year of service: We have had over 14,000 visitors at our East End branch, and we are so excited to see more of you in the coming year. Likewise, we’ve signed up a whopping 900 new library cards in East End, and patrons have logged over 400 flippin’ hours in the free computer lab! We also celebrated the grand opening of the East End branch community pantry recently, offering free food and hygiene products to anyone in need. The Battle of the Businesses food drive was a smashing success, receiving record donations nearly TRIPLE of our 2023 donations!
Basically, 2024 was an awesome year… and 2025 is going to be even more amazing for East End. We can’t wait to kickstart the next year of public service at the library with an awesome birthday party. You (yes, you!) are invited!
Oh, and by the way… you don’t need to bring us a birthday present. But if you REALLY want to… well, we could always use help keeping that brand new community pantry stocked for those in need. We’re always looking for dry, shelf stable goods, diapers, and shampoo and conditioner.
