If you participated in the Summer Reading Challenge or not, join us in our end-of-summer-reading Wrap-Up Party on Saturday, July 27. The event begins at 10:00 AM and has several activities until noon, followed by our Bird Watching program. All ages can enjoy meeting with local authors, crafting, a movie showing, and a storytime event at our Benton location.

During the event, we will have nineteen local Arkansas authors of various genres and age ranges including (in no order): Children’s authors Cathy Melvin, Adam Houchins, Izzy B, Sangeeta Karandikar, and Zoe Howlett; and Adult authors Sam Taggart, Jenny Carlisle, Adrianna Jones, Z. Dylan Tallent, Lauren Y. White, Barbara Ketchum, DeAnna Hill, Jeff Wooten, Tonya Ashley, David Johnson, Sharon Keathley, Jasmine Harris, Jermaine D. Rudd, and Deana Nall.

You can also enjoy a variety of family friendly crafts, including creating friendship bracelets and keychains, knitting and crocheting projects, and more.

There will be a movie screening about two girls who go to a summer camp, only to discover they have a lot in common, and their parents are hiding a big secret from them! (Can you guess which movie? Now can you guess which version of the film we will be showing???)

The most delicious feature of the Wrap-Up Party is a “Smorey Storytime” that will include chocolate and marshmallow treats for everyone along with a guided story, appropriate for all ages.

Registration is not required for any part of the Wrap-Up Party. Those interested in attending only need to show up to partake in the festivities. Attendees do not have to attend all parts of the events and are welcome to drop in anytime between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
