Homecoming Dance for the Win!
There are lots of reasons to look forward to back-to-school season- reconnecting with friends, Friday night football, and cooler temperatures. But, one back-to-school tradition that kids all over the U.S. look forward is Homecoming! The tradition of Homecoming started over 100 years ago. Although which college started it first is up for debate, the idea spread quickly and is an iconic part of the American high school experience.
Homecoming dance is typically less formal than Prom and open to all the high school student body (not just Seniors). Kids opt for shorter dresses over floor length formals and button up shirts over tuxes and suits. Homecoming proposals are a creative way to ask your crush to the dance, without too much pressure. A quick Google search will get you tons of ideas for fun and corny proposals! Or, you could make the dance even more chill by getting a group of friends to go together.
Make a day of it by planning a hike, packing a picnic, hitting up an arcade or going for dessert before the dance. You really only have a few chances for dances like this, so live it up!
