Ms. Becca’s Go-To Adventure Spots
Looking for something fun (and free!) to do this summer? Here are a few of Ms. Becca’s favorite go-to adventure spots!
Kingfisher Trail at Pinnacle Mountain State Park has a playground, picnic tables, and a shaded paved walking path perfect for strollers and bikes. See Cyprus knees and explore the wildlife that lives in and around the creek that skirts the trail.
Cardboard box sledding at William E. Clark Presidential Park along the Little Rock River. Flatten out some cardboard boxes and head for the steep hills of this public park near the Clinton Presidential Library. It’s sledding, Arkansas-style!
Historical Arkansas Museum is free to the public. Make plans to attend their big Fourth of July event. Celebrate the holiday with old-fashioned fun. Listen (and cheer!) during a reading of the Declaration of Independence, cool off with watermelon and lemonade, and learn how to train with the local militia!
200 E 3rd St, Little Rock, AR 72201
Fishing at Sunset Lake in Benton. Check out fishing poles and bait from the library then head over to Sunset Lake, next to the River Center in Benton for some summer fishing fun! For more information, visit the Arkansas Game and Fish website.
