Get Ready for a Poetry Slam!
The Saline County Library will be hosting a Poetry Slam on April 29th from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library in Benton.
The Saline County Library is inviting aspiring poets to share their work in front of a live audience in celebration of National Poetry Month.
The rules are simple: poets must bring original poems, whether written by themselves or written by a family member or friend who asked them to read it.
Adult Programmer, Mason Newberry, says “This National Poetry Month, we wanted to do something at the library that allowed our community to show off their creative side. Anyone can write a poem, but we want the authors to be shown some appreciation for their work.”
