New Spring Programs!

Come January, it looks like the pandemic will be more of the same. The vaccines may be getting closer, but for now, we have to continue virtual programming. The good news is that we have some fresh, new programs for all ages this spring! 

Program times will vary to allow both homeschool and public school students, as well as adults, to participate in the various programs.

Along with the popular trivia nights and game shows, our new Adult Programmers, Brittany and Mason, have come up with some fun new programs for adults like poetry, movie clubs, and more!

Special spring programs will be added each month. The new programs for January are as follows:

Ages 5 and under

Storytime Express Mondays at 10:30 AM on Facebook
Welcome to Storytime Express! Everything you know and love about storytime in a shortened time frame that fits your busy schedule. Join Ms. Sara for songs and a story best suited for the preschool crowd (3-5 yrs.).

Little Ones Learn Tuesdays at 10:30 AM on Facebook
Join Ms. Sarah Beth for ideas on how you can promote early literacy at home with your child. Each week will focus on one of the five early literacy skills: read, write, sing, play, and talk. 

Bedtime Storytime Thursdays at 7:00 PM on Facebook
Put on your pjs and grab your favorite stuffed animal, and join Mrs. Wendy for a fun, relaxing storytime.  We’ll sing a couple of songs and rhymes, and read a bedtime story. Find a cozy spot and suggle up for Bedtime Storytime!

Drive-In Storytime Friday, January 29th at 10:30 AM in Benton
Join us for our brand new Drive-in Storytime! Our librarians will perform a live storytime for you in our parking lot while you stay in the safety of your vehicle and tune your FM radio to our channel to be able to hear the stories and songs! Registration is required. Only one registration required per vehicle; space is limited!

Ages 8-12

Three Doors to Death Friday, January 29th at 6:30 PM on YouTube
The unpopular Gordon Forrest is mysteriously murdered during a rehearsal of an old British thriller, Three Doors to Death.  Plenty of people had good cause to wish him gone. Things heat up when the homicide detective appears and, with the Officer Garrett to guide him, has the murder re-enacted.  You’ll join the actors as they try to discover who murdered Gordon Forrest. 

These young tween actors of Drama Zoom have taken on the challenge of fully virtual rehearsals as well as preparing multiple parts for their first radio play.

Ages 9-14

Harry Potter Night Friday, January 22nd at 7:00 PM on Zoom
Harry Potter Night goes virtual! Join us on Zoom for a fun night of virtual games that will test your knowledge of the wizarding world!

Ages 18 +

Broadway Movie Club 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM on Zoom
We are excited to host our first ever Broadway Movie Club! Its like a bookclub but you get to watch your favorite Broadway movies and then meet with the group via Zoom on the first Tuesday of the month at 7PM. Best news- You get to keep the movie!! Each month you can pick up a new movie in the Broadway Movie Club. Registration is required.

New Book Spotlight 1st Wednesday of the month at 8:00 PM on Facebook
Let us find your next read! Once a month a few of our staff will share their favorite new books. No spoilers!

Poetry in Motion 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM on Facebook
Join Mr. Brett  to learn about some fun, basic poetic forms, including some that you might not have heard about in English class.

Learn how to turn Trash into Treasure and make something new out of something old.
