Meet Mrs. Kama
You may not have met Mrs. Kama yet (because COVID!), but you should look forward to meeting her during one of your browsing appointments or when the library opens back up fully! You’ll see her downstairs at the children’s desk assisting with desk duties, crafts, and more!
Mrs. Kama is a Social Studies teacher at Benton Middle School and has some interesting facts to share about herself:
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I would have a stretchy body and arms, like Elasta-Girl on The Incredibles. With 5 kids and 2 jobs, stretchiness would come in very “handy.”
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
I balance the checkbook and manage our finances. I love to figure out where we can save money!
What is the strangest talent you have?
Ummm…well…my “acting” ability? My students love it (or are slightly terrified) when my alter-ego shows up for class. Her name is Veronic Harmonica. Some days, when we are studying Europe, for example, she teaches all 6 class periods in a British accent. She’s also been known to show up at school as a Suffragist, or a cartographer.
Are you a cat person or a dog person (or other)?
I HAVE a dog, but I think I’m more of a cat person. Cats are low maintenance and prefer to be left along most of the time. I love animals (and people) who are self-sufficient most of the time.
