Join us for Happy Hour x3! 

During the week of October 19^th, we will be partnering with Garland County Library to host two virtual homebrewing programs. These programs are free and are intended for ages 21 and up.

On Wednesday, October 21^st, Garland County Library Director Adam Webb and Garland County Library volunteer, Chris Hough will be walking us through the process of crafting beer from home. This video will be posted to the our Facebook page for viewers to enjoy at their leisure.

On Thursday, October 22^nd, Adam and Chris will be hosting a live Q&A on our Facebook page to answer any patron questions that may have come up after watching the homebrewing process. Saline County Library Community Librarian, Alissa Turner, will be moderating this live Q&A and will have questions of her own that are sure to cross your mind if you ever want to craft your own beer.

“This will be an opportunity for our communities to learn a fun hobby that they can do from home as the weather gets cooler,” says Turner. “They can also safely participate in this hobby while maintaining social distancing and staying at home.”

You will also have the chance to get the backstory on beer, as well as learn about the current trends of microbrews and craft beers. On Monday, October 19^th, we will be hosting Active Minds as they tell the story of beer on Zoom at 7:00 PM. Through this hour-long discussion, they will discuss the origins and history of beer, how it’s made, different types of beer, and the rise of several great American brewers and beer families.
