Deadline
- To receive absentee ballot applications by mail, fax, or email is October 27.
- To transfer voter registration from County to County is October 30.
- To deliver your absentee ballot to the County Clerk is November 2 no later than 4:30 PM.
What do I need to vote?
If you are registered to vote, all you need is your ID. Accepted forms of ID are:
- A driver’s license
- A photo identification card
- A concealed handgun carry license
- A United States passport
- An employee badge or identification document issued by an accredited postsecondary education institution in the State of Arkansas
- A United States military identification document
- A public assistance identification card if the card shows a photograph of the person to whom the document or identification card was issued
- A voter verification card as provided under Ark. Code § 7-5-324.
Absentee/Mail-In Voting
Voters in the general election may cite concerns over COVID-19 as a valid excuse for voting absentee.
- Review the absentee ballot application and confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for voting absentee.
- Fill out the application completely.
- Submit the request to your local election office. You should request your ballot as far in advance of the election as possible. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is (received by) Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
- When your ballot arrives, read it carefully and follow the instructions to complete it and return it.
- Your ballot must be received by Tuesday, November 3, 2020 by 7:30 p.m. You may also return your ballot in person by Monday, November 2, 2020 by close of business. You can find ballot tracking information here.
