We are proud to announce we are the only library in the state of Arkansas to receive a Public Library Association Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive Grant. With the grant funds, we are bringing basic computer and internet courses to the underserved populations in our community.   

The purpose of this course is to provide basic computer and internet courses for underserved populations in Saline County so that they may become more comfortable using technology. These skills are so important to help empower citizens so that they may have the tools they need to succeed. The PLA has created all of the educational materials; we just need to find locations that work best for our target audience to facilitate the materials. The materials are available in both Spanish and English, so we are hoping to reach the Hispanic community as well. 

Workshops will be small, classroom settings and can only hold 8 attendees per class. Because of this, registration is encouraged to hold your spot. If you do not register, you may still go to the class incase there is a cancellation or no-show, but we cannot guarantee a spot will be available.

There are eight approved digital skills workshops, and each participant will receive a certificate of completion for each workshop they attend.
